The country seems to be very bike-focused this week as the Birmingham NEC hosts the annual Motorcycle Live event.
Kawasaki has opted to reveal its line-up for 2016 and prices at the event – in a move that is going to get bike fans planning their next purchase asap.
The company’s 2016 range will include the brand new Ninja ZX-10R, J125, ZZR1400 and ZZR1400 Performance Sport models – all available on special introductory rates to reward the first buyers.
One of the highlights is set to be the Ninja ZX-10R, which has been developed alongside the Kawasaki Racing Team, and is heavily influenced by Kawasaki’s World Superbike model.
The Ninja ZX-10R makes use of a whole host of new technology in the biking world to deliver a ride that is perfect for track days. It will cost £13,659 for the Metallic Matt Carbon grey option and £13,799 for the KRT Colour scheme.
For those who enjoy a bike that will make them stand out then the Winter Edition ZX-10R could be a good option. Just 75 will go on sale in the UK and each machine will feature the same black and white livery as the Ninja’s tested by the World Superbike Team, plus a symbolic snowflake engraved on to the bike.
The limited model is fitted with a road-legal Akrapovic silencer and stainless plates on the yoke – for a cost of £14,399.
Kawasaki have also revealed a number of other bikes in the line-up, including several larger capacity options such as the updated ZZR1400 model and the accompanying ZZR1400 Performance Sport model, with the later featuring twin Akrapovic silencers, Öhlins TTX39 rear shock absorber and high grade Brembo M50 braking.
Craig Watson, Kawasaki UK’s sales manager, said: “We’re pleased to be able to announce the prices of the 2016 models ahead of the machines being on show at Motorcycle Live.
“The depth of the Kawasaki road range is so strong for 2016 – whether you have an A1 licence or a full licence, there’s something for really tempting for you.”
Motorcycle Live 2015 is the UK’s biggest bike show and features more than 35 manufacturers and 150 exhibitors showcasing the very latest in products and services from the motorcycling world.
One of the major highlights for this year is the creation of the special FMX Live Arena, which sees some of the very best freestyle motocross riders, such as Edgar Torronteras and Jamie Squibb, perform some quite staggering aerial bike tricks.
On until December 6th, the Motorcycle Live event, also features the chance to test drive bikes, attend workshops and talks related to biking – overall a must for fans of everything two-wheels.
