Performance motorcycle manufacturer Honda has announced its support for the Royal Air Force (RAF) Reserves Racing project in 2012.
Competing in this year's British Superstock 1000 Championship, the RAF Reserves have been provided with a number of Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade models for use in the race.
Set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the launch of the iconic superbike this year, the event will be a fitting showcase of the model's enduring performance and appeal.
"Even though all technical aspects of the project are handled by ourselves day to day, it is great to know that we are starting with the most competitive machinery out there," commented Lee Hardy, RAF Reserves racing team manager.
Meanwhile, the Honda TT Legends team recently completed pre-season testing ahead of this year's Bol d'Or 24-hour 2012 Endurance World Championship at Magny Cours in France.
The race took place on April 14th and 15th and saw the team using its 2012-specification Honda Fireblade.
