Dealerships across the UK have taken charge of deliveries for the new Ducati 1199 Panigale – the motorcycle manufacturer's new flagship offering.

Offering an array of features and cutting-edge technologies for motorcycle enthusiasts, the 1199 has been hailed as a step forward in the way superbikes are designed and developed.

A range of gadgets and high-tech systems adorn the new Ducati model, including the company's latest generation sports ABS package and Ducati Traction Control system, designed to provide maximum enjoyment and performance for riders, while ensuring they maintain control of their vehicle at all times.

The 1199 also includes as standard a new race-derived Engine Brake Control system, Ducati Electronic Suspension and the Ducati Quick-Shift gearbox to provide further riding enhancements.

Available at all 32 Ducati dealerships across the UK, the bike has witnessed unprecedented demand from enthusiasts due to its technical excellence and rider responsiveness in testing.

The design team behind the new model have been committed to stripping back weight on the vehicle from the outset in order to provide even crisper and stronger performance in braking and acceleration, and this has resulted in a 10 kg reduction in weight for the vehicle in comparison to the 1198 Panigale.

As a result, the 1199 has a dry weight of just 164 kg – a new benchmark for the superbike sector.

Featuring an extremely compact and aerodynamic design, the 1199 also delivers the highest power-to-weight and torque-to-weight ratios in the sector, while delivering a blistering 195 bhp.

The 1199 was first showcased in the UK at the recent MCN London Motorcycle Show in February, with the new model taking its name from the 1199cc capacity of the bike's engine, while also paying homage to the rich racing history of the Panigale name and of the Ducati brand in general.
