However, the brand has now introduced a new contender for their affections – by unveiling a concept version of the hugely popular model. The Mitsubishi Outlander Shogun Sport SVP Concept was officially introduced at the 2019 Commercial Vehicle Show within Birmingham’s NEC complex , and it proved to be every bit as desirable as the carmaker had hinted.First up, you couldn’t help but notice those 18-inch blackPredator alloy wheels, which feature a red split-rim design to add even morestyle to their polished perfection. Since this is an all-terrain vehicle, BFGoodrich tyres with wider tracks and wheel arch extensions have also beenfitted for maximum performance.Speaking of performance, there’s plenty under the bonnethere too, with a 2.4-litre turbo diesel engine, eight-speed automatictransmission and an advanced Super Select 4WD system. With 181hp and 430Nm oftorque, this is one SUV that won’t have any trouble getting going.Since Mitsubishi envisages owners of the Outlander ShogunSport SVP Concept getting off the beaten track with their vehicles, there arealso plenty of features designed to assist with navigating and driving off-road.For instance, you’ll find a specially designed LED light bar on the roof, as well as PIAA driving lamps ahead of the front grille, rally-style. The vehicle also has a four-setting Off Road Mode and hill descent control, meaning you’ll be firmly in command no matter what gradients you find yourself heading down. And Mitsubishi didn’t scrimp with the finishing touches, either. On top of those sophisticated wheels, there’s rear spoiler, black headand tail lamp surrounds and a striking decal package, with everything pickingup those accents of red and black to ensure perfect coordination.Inside, the red theme continues with coloured LED moodlighting and special upholstery that has additional side bolstering at thefront and rear. This is one sultry-looking SUV – and we weren’t sorry thatit ended up replacing the Truck King Battle Mitsubishi L200 eSports Conceptthat should have been on the show stand. The Shogun Sport has always been designed as a car that doesas well in the city as it does in the wilderness and we reckon plenty of carlovers will be raring to ‘Drive their Ambition’ by getting hold of one ofthese."},{"@context":"https:\/\/schema.org\/","@type":"BreadcrumbList","itemListElement":[{"@type":"ListItem","position":1,"name":"Latest News","item":"https:\/\/smart-motoring.com\/latest-news\/#breadcrumbitem"},{"@type":"ListItem","position":2,"name":"Mitsubishi shows off Concept in Birmingham","item":"https:\/\/smart-motoring.com\/latest-news\/mitsubishis-newest-concept\/#breadcrumbitem"}]}]
