Mini has a few tricks up its sleeve for this year’s LA Auto Show. Not only will the event mark a debut for the five door version of its newest model but Mini will also be unveiling its innovative new roadster concept.
The second body version of the new Mini is set to make its US premiere at the LA Auto Show, with the British brand having enthralled trend-conscious American drivers for the last ten years.
So far, the newest Mini concept has shown off high-end technology, expressive design, innovate equipment and quality. Basically, it is intended to add something unique to the small car and compact segment. This newer model sports two more doors and extra space for occupants and luggage.
The Mini five door marks the first time that the marque has been represented in the small car category with a five door vehicle in all of its 55 year history.
There are seven versions of the newest Mini model and all of these will be presented to visitors at the LA Auto Show between November 21st and 30th 2014 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
As well as the newest Mini models, a special concept model will be on show. The Mini Superleggera Vision will be displayed at the LA Auto Show as the marque’s roadster concept. It promises a mixture of Italian flair, purist design and lightweight construction. What’s more, it is a purely electric car.
A collaborative venture between Mini and Touring Superleggera, the Italian design and body manufacturing label, is behind the roadster concept. It is designed to look like the classic two seater car and is crafted by hand.
Its proportions are reflective of Mini but its look has the lines and surface finish that is characteristic of Touring Superleggera. The car is designed to be fun to drive, agile and efficient – areas that are aided by its lightweight construction and electric drive.
While the roadster remains in the concept stages at present, Mini is set to release its five door models in the US in the form of the Mini Cooper and Mini Cooper S.
