McLaren’s 570S Spider is a pretty mean motor on any given day, however, the Woking-based supercar maker has found a way to make the speedy drop-top even more aggressive by offering a new optional package.
Available only during the car’s initial build at a cost of £17,160, the new Track Pack bolts on some highly desirable lightweight options to the 570S Spider to deliver enhanced levels of driver engagement for owners interested in occasional track days, whilst maintaining the daily usability of the McLaren Sports Series convertible.
Speccing the pack reduces vehicle weight by more than 33kg over the standard 570S Spider and delivers a louder, more sporting exhaust note whilst further sharpening the striking Spider’s appearance.
In the cockpit, you’ll find a wealth of carbon fibre, on the race seats, door inserts, tunnel sides, extended gearshift paddles, steering wheel spokes, door and lower centre console switch packs and the infotainment surround.
The cabin will also boast one of six lightweight ‘By McLaren Designer Interior Sport Design’ themes in Alcantara, chosen by the buyer. Additionally, there’s the McLaren Track Telemetry system that provides lap times and sector splits, as well as post-drive analysis and data-logging with graphical plots of vehicle speed and time deltas.
On the outside, Track Pack 570S Spiders feature a dark palladium roof, super-lightweight 10-spoke forged alloy wheels in stealth finish with Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tyres and a sports exhaust with stealth exhaust finisher, which is both lighter and louder than a standard Sports Series system.
A spokesperson for McLaren Automotive said: “The 570S Spider has already gained a reputation as an extremely accomplished luxury sports car that is hugely enjoyable to drive on a circuit.
“This new Track Pack brings together in one package design features, specification and popular practical options desirable for track use, further increasing choice for Spider buyers and at the same time offering them even better value.”
The 570S Spider Track Pack is available now at time of vehicle order and adds £17,160 to the price of the car.
