In the weekend just gone, Goodwood came to life with hundreds of phenomenal classic cars of all shapes and sizes. One manufacturer that had a rather prominent presence at the event, was Maserati. The Italian manufacturer had many beautiful cars on show and luckily, some beautiful photos were taken of them for us to share with you. Maserati proudly showcased the past and present of their V8 engine cars on the sunny weekend. Goodwood Revival offers a unique experience, where you can enjoy an atmosphere that emulates the historical times of the 40s, 50s and 60s where spectators and race competitors were dressed in period clothing. Maserati is an automotive partner of Goodwood Revival and just as they have done in the past, they took part in the Earl\u2019s Court Motor Show with a magnificent display inspired by the marque\u2019s classic 1960s motor show stands.On the stand was a gorgeous Quattroporte Series 1, the first Quattroporte to be produced, featuring a V8 engine and styling taken from the limited-production and very special 5000 GT. When the car debuted, it was the fastest four-door saloon in the world thanks to the all-alloy, quad-cam 4.1-litre V8 that lay within.Next to the Series 1 was one of Maserati\u2019s new V8 Levante GTS, finished in Bianco Alpi with a nero interior. Sporting a 3.8-litre V8 Twin-Turbo petrol engine, the Levante GTS produces an impressive 530 hp.As well as these two fine Italian performance cars, Maserati also had a selection of other cars either being displayed or competing in the Goodwood Revival races. Cars such as the 6CM, 8CM, Tipo 63, 250F could be seen (and heard) bombing around the track against other, equally fantastic classics such as Jaguar E Types, Ferrari 250 GTs and Aston Martin DB4s.\u00a0 Various races were held at the weekend, including Goodwood Trophy, Freddie March Memorial Trophy, Richmond & Gordon Trophies and Sussex Trophy races which Maserati competed in. Although Maserati didn\u2019t win any of the races, Richard Wilson took third place in a Maserati 250S during the Memorial Trophy which took place on the sunny Sunday afternoon.Guests of Maserati were spoilt with lavish luxury as they were chauffeured to and from Goodwood Revival in a fleet of Maserati\u2019s Levante, Quattroporte and Ghibli cars. Talk about arriving in style! If you\u2019re a fan of classic cars and motorcycles than Goodwood Revival is the perfect event to attend. Like travelling back in time, Revival brings back music, clothing and most of all, cars, from the post-war era of the 40s, 50s and 60s.
