Citroën has unveiled special edition models of the C1 and C3 Aircross Compact SUV as part of the marque’s ongoing 100th anniversary celebrations.

Having launched the C3 and C4 Cactus Origins Collector’s Editions earlier this year, the French brand revealed that the C1 and C3 Aircross Compact would be the latest vehicles to get the centenary treatment.

As with all cars in the Origins Collector’s Editions range, the C1 and C3 Aircross Compact will feature bronze colours and graphics that pay homage to the company’s proud heritage. However, they will also boast a number of unique updates.

The C1 will come in a non-metallic Lipizzan White body colour as standard, although owners will have the option of instead choosing Gallium Grey, Carlinite Grey or Caldera Black metallic paints. It will feature 15-inch Black Planet alloy wheels and a Black bi-tone roof, while the seats will be upholstered in Grey Heather cloth with gold stitched detailing.

Meanwhile, the C3 Aircross Compact sports a nonmetallic Natural White body colour and a Black bi-tone roof as standard, with Cosmic Silver, Platinum Grey and Ink Black metallic body colours being offered as extras. Bronze highlights have been added to the front light surrounds and door mirror, while it also comes with 16-inch Black Matrix alloys.

Both models are available to order now, with production having started this month.

The special edition models are the latest part of Citroën’s centenary festivities. Last month, the brand announced its support for a special Citroën Centenary Event at Coombe Park, Oxfordshire that will culminate in a 1,000-car parade to the nearby Power Maxed MotoFest Coventry.

Karl Howkins, Citroën UK’s managing director, said: “Celebrating our centenary here in Coventry is the perfect way to rejoice in our rich history and look to the exciting future ahead for the brand.

“We are equally happy to be assisting the many enthusiasts who are putting on the Citroën Centenary Event, looking after our heritage and promoting links between owners and the brand.”
