This new multimedia system not only looks nicer but boasts anincrease in computational power, making it more responsive to commands. It also has\u2018always-connected\u2019 cloud-based navigation functionality as standard, providing users withuseful real-time traffic information so they can easily plan journeys. And what if you\u2019re stuckin an area where a cloud connection is not available? No bother, the system has built-inembedded navigation so that you can always find your way.Lexus has also moved away from trackpad controls, instead opting for a more intuitive fullytouchscreen experience. The screen has also been brought forward in an effort to optimisecomfort and practicality. The space previously used for the multimedia trackpad has beenrepurposed as a small storage cubby and, where applicable, heated front seat controls.Lexus is offering customers the opportunity to purchase the UX 300E in new paintwork,named Sonic Platinum. The automaker claims that this new finish adds an \u201cextra brilliance\u201dto the exterior with deeper shading across the body. This is said to have been made possibleby Lexus\u2019s advanced sonic paint technologyAnd it\u2019s not just the exterior that has a fresh look. Inside, the fabric and leather upholsteryare now available in a brand-new Hazel colour option. Lexus also continues to tap into theirJapanese heritage with the perforated upholstery previously seen on the UX 300E nowembellished with a new Kagome stitchwork pattern, inspired by a traditional Japanesebasket weave.Lexus has also made several enhancements to Safety System+ to ensure even greater peaceof mind for drivers and passengers. The Pre-Collision system \u2013 useful for detecting cyclistsand pedestrians in low-light conditions – is now kitted out with Intersection Turning Assist,as well as Emergency Steering Assist to aid in manoeuvring around any potential obstacleswithout deviating from driving lanes.
