Excitement hit the screens this week with Land Rover confirming that the all-new Range Rover Sport is to make its debut at this month’s New York Motor Show.
Making a statement, Land Rover has decided to showcase the all new Sport on the evening of the 26th – the night before its public introduction and, to tickle our taste-buds, a teaser video has landed on our laps!
A fantastic, social stunt will take place through the streets of New York where the Range Rover Sport will be streamed live across the internet, exclusively for viewers who have requested an invitation. Taking full advantage of the ostentatious streets of Manhattan, the new machine will drive through the City that has helped shape what the car is today; more Ranger Rover’s are sold in New York than any other city in world, so it makes sense.
A few teaser images have also been cropping up over the internet and, tying in the New York Motor Show within the images, the beast has been positioned very selectively in front of the un-miss-able New York skyline.
Described by Land Rover as its “fastest, most responsive and most agile vehicle to date,” we are positive that they have nabbed a few tweaks from the Evoque, with the likes of the smaller, lower lights and the central, defining ridge in the middle of the car (all features that make appearances in the teaser images).
Sharing the same aluminium chassis as the new Range Rover, the sport version will see its weight cut by around 350kg, with a starting price tag of around £55,000.
Will it stand out in the crowd against its bigger brother or will the all new Range Rover Sport be forever playing catch-up? Check it out!
