This car, nicknamed ‘The Cub’, still holds the Kop Hill Climb record that was established in 1925. As well as this car, the display will also feature three English Racing Automobiles from the 1930s, of which only 24 were ever produced. The Kop Hill Climb, which is located in Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire, is one of the oldest Hill Climb venues in England. Its first recorded races took place in 1910 and then it went on to become one of the major motorsports events in the UK for years to come.Among the famous racers of the time to take part in the event were Malcolm Campbell, Raymond Mays, Henry Segrave and Count Zborowski. However, the last of the original races on the Kop Hill climb was held in 1925 when a spectator was caught in an accident and the RAC subsequently banned all motorsports on public roads.Six years ago, the event was revived and has grown in popularity internationally ever since and, last year, more than 15,000 people were in attendance. The event is also beneficial for local charities and last year \u00a355,000 was raised in donations. In terms of racing, both days host morning and afternoon sessions that sees various cars and motorcycles making their way up the hill. Spectators can watch all the action from the historic cars by heading to the grandstands, which offers the best vantage point. As well as the races and displays, the event will also have plenty of entertainment on for the family, including a trade village, food court and Laurel and Hardy tribute act known as Haurel and Lardy."},{"@context":"https:\/\/schema.org\/","@type":"BreadcrumbList","itemListElement":[{"@type":"ListItem","position":1,"name":"Latest News","item":"https:\/\/smart-motoring.com\/latest-news\/#breadcrumbitem"},{"@type":"ListItem","position":2,"name":"Kop Hill Climb shows off 'Best of British'","item":"https:\/\/smart-motoring.com\/latest-news\/kop-hill-climb-shows-best-british\/#breadcrumbitem"}]}]
