Jeep has confirmed UK prices for the ‘supercharged’ Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, but buyers will have to be quick.
With a supercharged V8 engine under the bonnet, the new Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is an impressive machine, capable of charging from a standstill to 62mph in just 3.7 seconds.
Anyone who actually wants to get their hands on one might need to be even quicker, with only 20 Trackhawks set to be made available in the UK this year.
Jeep has now confirmed that the SUV comes with a starting price of £89,999 on-the-road, which the iconic American manufacturer called a “modest price tag”, to go with its new creation’s “whopping power output”.
One interesting way of looking at it is that the Trackhawk costs around £127 for every unit of its 710 horsepower, compared with £296 for the Bentley Bentayga and £257 for the Lamborghini Urus.
The latest addition to the proud Grand Cherokee dynasty also boasts an upgraded high-torque capacity TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission, a top speed of 180mph and a braking distance of 37 metres at 62mph, thanks to the new Brembo braking system.
Jeep fans will also be salivating over the signature seven-slot upper front grille, bi-xenon headlamps and 20-inch titanium finish wheels with yellow brake callipers.
On-road performance and handling are refined by the Selec-Trac system, which features five dynamic modes and Bilstein active damping suspension.
Interior highlights include Laguna leather seats with an embroidered Trackhawk logo, real metal accents and a leather-stitched instrument panel.

There’s no questioning this SUV’s pedigree and credentials, but for now at least it seems that most of us will have to settle for merely imagining what it’s like to actually drive the thing.
