It\u2019s a manned, battery-powered quadcopter built for a Motorsport that doesn\u2019t yet exist and it all sounds very exciting. We\u2019re sure it\u2019ll be the talk of the town at the event and we\u2019re looking forward to seeing just how real and operational this concept is. One-of-a-kind FerrariFerrari\u2019s are exciting enough as it is, but this one-off open-top model will have people talking even more than usual. The Ferrari P80\/C is based on the 488 GT3 and features bespoke bodywork including a huge and instantly-iconic rear carbon spoiler. The car is a bespoke order and Ferrari have worked very closely with the client to deliver a completely unique offering for a, presumably, very wealthy customer. \u201cThe Ferrari Styling Centre\u2019s goal was to create a resolutely modern car that made no major concessions to the past, apart from attempting to recreate the sensual shape of those iconic models (1966 Dino 206 S and 330 P3\/P4) through more muscular wings formed by the intersection of concave and convex surfaces.\u201dIt\u2019ll make its debut at Goodwood and all eyes will be fixed on the gleaming red machine as it climbs up the famous Goodwood hill. Motorsport record breakersAccording to the official website, we can expect to see celebrations of \u201cdrivers, riders, cars, motorcycles and teams that have gone further than their contemporaries in pursuit of glory\u201d. This part of the show is rather elusive at the moment and we\u2019ll just have to wait and see what unfolds.Limited Edition Ford GT Mk IICreated by Ford Performance and Multimatic, this GT is for track use only and is tuned for competitive racing. The 3.5-litre EcoBoost engine produces 700 horsepower and the aerodynamics are optimised even further to generate over 400% more downforce than the standard Ford GT. The car is 90kg lighter, the transmission is specially-calibrated for racing and the engine features new cooling technology including a water sprayer, allowing for high power performance at high temperatures. Hau Thai-Tang, Ford chief product development and purchasing officer, had this to say about the extreme hypercar:\u201cThe GT Mk II unleashes the full performance potential of the Ford GT without any artificial performance limitations dictated by racing sanctioning bodies,\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s the closest GT owners can get to the Le Mans-winning performance and exhilarating feeling of crossing the finish line in the Ford GT race car.\u201dThere will only be 45 models made and the starting MSRP is an eye-watering $1.2 million. This Ford GT is the real deal and you can expect to see it at Goodwood. Many new cars being shown offFord\u2019s new Puma (which is NOT the sports coupe it used to be), as well as their Focus ST, will be able to be seen in the flesh this weekend. The upcoming Honda e will also be making its UK debut at Goodwood, showing off its unusual retro-futuristic style and digital wing mirrors, along with it\u2019s older, faster sibling, the new 2019 Honda NSX. Speaking of electric cars, one interesting piece you can expect to see is the Lightyear One. This EV differentiates itself from the competition by offering solar charging using panels on the top of the car. Once again, we can expect to see an \u2018electrified\u2019 classic Ford Mustang, this one being from Charge Automotive, a London-based electric car manufacturer specialising in making electric Mustangs. Charge\u2019s electric Mustang offers buyers a brand new, AWD 60\u2019s Fastback Eleanor body Mustang that\u2019s capable of 0-60 mph in just 3.99 seconds and has 200 miles of range. Starting at \u00a3300,000, only 499 will be made and each offers luxury bespoke interiors and state-of-the-art components. We won\u2019t be able to appreciate the sound, but we sure can appreciate this brilliant modernisation of a timeless classic.Special edition racing variants of the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio will be making an appearance this Goodwood, showing off their red and white livery along with their Sparco carbon fibre-shell bucket seats making two already-cool cars that extra bit cooler.McLaren\u2019s new GTThis is McLaren\u2019s first ever grand tourer.Designed for long, cross-country journeys rather than short sprints, the GTwill be luxurious, comfortable and still very engaging to drive. It\u2019s capableof 0-124mph in just 9 seconds, so the performance is still very clearly presentand practicality is also present with a huge luggage capacity of 570 litres. \u201cThe new McLaren GT combines competitionlevels of performance with continent-crossing capability, wrapped in abeautiful body and true to McLaren\u2019s ethos of designing superlight cars with aclear weight advantage over rivals. Designed for distance, it provides thecomfort and space expected of a Grand Tourer, but with a level of agility neverexperienced before in this segment.
