In terms of diesel options, there is a 1.6 litre TDI with 110 PS and two 2.0 litre TDI engines with 150 and 184 PS. Meanwhile the 1.8 litre TSI has 180 PS and is completely new to the Golf range. Those who opt for the 180 PS or 184 PS options will be able to move the power to the all-wheel drive system by using a six-speed dual clutch gearbox.Aside from the size of the vehicles, there are a number of visual and technical characteristics that set the Golf Alltrack apart from its predecessors. The car has the 4MOTION all-wheel drive system installled, is higher off the ground, has wheel arch mouldings and flared side sills that are designed for body protection, newly designed bumpers and a number of other new features inside and out.The 4MOTION system helps the car to perform well whether it is on the road or if moved onto light off-road terrain. It is designed to be proactive rather than reactive as it activates before any slip happens, which prevents almost all loss in traction. When the car is used under fairly low engine conditions or when coasting, the car relies mostly on the front axle. This is so that the car can save on fuel. It is coupled to the back axle under more testing conditions and can be engaged in a mere fraction of a second."},{"@context":"https:\/\/schema.org\/","@type":"BreadcrumbList","itemListElement":[{"@type":"ListItem","position":1,"name":"Latest News","item":"https:\/\/smart-motoring.com\/latest-news\/#breadcrumbitem"},{"@type":"ListItem","position":2,"name":"Golf Alltrack model makes its debut","item":"https:\/\/smart-motoring.com\/latest-news\/golf-alltrack-model-makes-debut\/#breadcrumbitem"}]}]
