Fiat 500 fans will be able to buy the new Star and Rockstar versions soon.
The quirky Fiat 500 has long been one of Britain’s favourite city cars, but it might win even more fans this summer thanks to the addition of two stylish new models in its range.
‘Fiat 500 ‘Star’
First up, the Fiat 500 Star allows buyers to choose from a range of colours, including Avantgarde Bordeaux, Epic Blue and – new this year – metallic Powder Pink.
Each hue will pair beautifully with chrome detailing, 16-inch alloy wheels and a fixed glass roof.
Inside, there’s brand-new upholstery colours (white sands and black) and the dashboard, which had matched the body colour before, is now also available in matt white of matt Bordeaux.
The Star is available in hatchback or convertible with either a 1.2-litre 69hp petrol engine or 0.9-litre 85hp petrol Twin Air engine, priced at £15,395 on-the-road.
‘Fiat 500 ‘Rockstar’
Meanwhile, the 500 Rockstar combines the same bumpers and side sills as the Sport with details including a fixed glass roof, 16-inch alloy wheels and satin finish chrome bodywork.
Again, this 500 is available in a range of colours to suit every personality, including Pasodoble Red, Electronica Blue and – new this summer – matt Portofino Green.
The seats inside feature smart pinstripe fabric centres edged with blue or grey side panels and finished in black eco leather.
You’ll find the Rockstar comes in both hatchback and cabriolet, with either a 1.2-litre 69hp or a 0.9-litre 85hp Twin Air engine, priced from £15,565 on-the-road.
More on the new ‘Star’ & ‘Rockstar’ models
All 500 models now also come with a Uconnect 7-inch HD LIVE touchscreen radio featuring built-in Apple CarPlay support and Android AutoTM compatibility – and there’s even an Apple/Fiat playlist to celebrate the carmaker’s 120th anniversary.
Fiat’s new marketing material for the 500 includes the tagline ‘Lose the Labels’ and aims to celebrate the individuality of its drivers – and we think they’ll have no trouble showing off their personality behind the wheel of the Star or the Rockstar.
The Fiat 500 burst onto the scene in a riot of colour in 2007 and has remained largely unchanged – save for a 2015 refresh – ever since. Its lively, fun-looking facade has made it one of the most popular car models in any category.
