Alongside the Aventador competition we thought it’d be nice to give something back to the many under 18’s attending the show so we also offered a competition to go up the famous hill at Brooklands in a Ferrari 458 Italia with a professional driver at the wheel.\u00a0 Who wouldn’t want to do that?It’s one of many things that have made me wish I was under 18 again that’s for sure.\u00a0 However, as that was more than half my lifetime ago I’ll give up on the dream on de-aging myself and just continue on with announcing the competition winner.The excited 17 year old winner of the Ferrari 458 Italia competition, Summer, could be seen going up the famous steep hill at Brooklands in the supercar on Saturday.\u00a0 I would have been around that age when the Ferrari F40 was first unleashed upon an eagerly awaiting public and I was quite happy to settle for a poster of it on my wall as well as many a school yard discussion. So, I for one am very jealous and can only imagine what a fantastic experience it must have been to experience a Ferrari that most people can only dream of.\u00a0 I also think that it’s great that so many of the UK’s motor shows have such a great family feel to them and that a new generation are getting exposure to cars both historic and new."},{"@context":"https:\/\/schema.org\/","@type":"BreadcrumbList","itemListElement":[{"@type":"ListItem","position":1,"name":"Latest News","item":"https:\/\/smart-motoring.com\/latest-news\/#breadcrumbitem"},{"@type":"ListItem","position":2,"name":"Ferrari 458 Italia Winner at Auto Italia's Italian Car Day, Brooklands Museum 2012","item":"https:\/\/smart-motoring.com\/latest-news\/ferrari-458-italia-winner-at-auto-italias-italian-car-day-brooklands-museum-2012\/#breadcrumbitem"}]}]
