The fastest, most potent and fastest accelerating roadster from Aston Martin to go on sale to the general public is set to make its debut.
As part of the Pebble Beach Automotive Week, the 2015 V12 Vantage S Roadster will be showing off its offer of an open top experience, complete with sporting prowess and sporty soundtrack that comes from its naturally aspirated V12 engine and sports exhaust that has been tuned by sports experts.
The V12 Vantage S Roadster comes with the newest 565 bhp Aston Martin AM28 6.0 litre V12 engine, which is equipped with advanced engine management from Bosch. The car can reach a top speed of 201 mph and can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds.
Joining the V12 Vantage S Roadster during the week, which begins on August 14th, will be the new Design Prototype 100 (DP-100) that is set to make its first appearance in North America.
The DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo was developed by the in-house design team at Aston Martin and was created purely as a virtual car for the game Gran Turismo 6. It will be available to download, although a full-size, hand-crafted model will be on show at the event in Monterey.
As well as both cars being available to view at the Aston Martin Estate between August 14th and 16th, the V12 Vantage S Roadster will also be leading the brand at Quail: A Motorsports Gathering on August 15th.
The Pebble Beach week is expected to follow in the success of 2013 for Aston Martin, where the British marque was celebrated at a range of events as it was its centenary year.
Guests at the Aston Martin Estate will get to enjoy viewings of new Aston Martins and test drives of the current line-up of high performance handcrafted sports cars from the marque. What’s more, the Vantage GT4 race car will be presented by motorsport partners TRG-AMR. This car is currently the centrepiece of Aston Martin’s first one-make race series in North America.
