Motor-Vision is proud to announce that our good friends over at Oakley Design have had their cars chosen as part of the exclusive calibre of vehicles in the new Fast and Furious film, which has been conquering the UK box office since its premiere on 7th May.
This fantastic honour was awarded to the guys at Oakley Design during the summer of 2012 with filming taking place, secretly, during the London Olympics in and around Kings Cross. Along with the rest of the production team, Fast and Furious 6’s director, Justin Lin, viewed various supercars that ‘auditioned’ for the film but two that stood out were Oakley’s yellow Ferrari 458 and a bespoke orange Lambo Aventador LP760-2!
Both of these cars belong to the same lucky owner and a client of Oakley Design and, according to reports, Justin Lin particularly chose the Aventador because of the carbon fibre rear wing and the car’s pure aggressive presence.
Performance Direct proudly exhibited the Aventador on their stand at Auto Italia last year so we were rather excited to see it in the most iconic series of modified car films to hit the big screen in recent times. It’s an accolade well deserved by this incredible Lambo. Fast and Furious – that sums up the bright orange Oakley modified car perfectly.
Previously, Performance Direct were invited to a track testing session for the Lamborghini Aventador LP760-2 held at a secret location in France. Both cars were subsequently filmed and featured in the scenes at the garage belonging to Owen Shaw (played by Luke Evans), an internationally wanted criminal, and it has been an honor for the guys at Oakley to have their cars displayed.
The same Lamborghini LP760-2 has also featured in many magazines like Auto Italia, European Car and Option Auto and will be instantly spotted by Oakley fans if they visit a screening this year!
