Japfest 2 kicked off under glorious sunshine at the famous Donington Park on Sunday 7th July. Plenty of Japanese performance car enthusiasts rolled up in their thousands for a day of pure Jap action and to catch the finals of the SFS Power and Style Awards.
The smoking displays from the drift cars to the adrenaline Pro-R Subaru passenger thrill rides, the atmosphere on the day was intense! The Pro-R thrill rides gave many brave volunteers an experience that they won’t forget in a hurry. For just £25 visitors could experience the awesome, toe curling track passenger ride around the Donington Park circuit driven by professional driver Jason Sharpe.
This year we saw Japfest 2 team up with M-Tech Automotive offering a mobile rolling road to see just what your car was made of. £30 gained you 3 power runs and this was available all day.
Style shone through from Hondas to Mazdas and from Suburus to Toyotas and along with a fantastic crowd, Japfest 2 was a great success!
