Fast forward to CFS 2015, it was cold and windy with teas and coffees in hand.But this didn’t stop any of the true Ford fans, they were out in force! There was a hoard of people walking around the trading village snapping up the bargains. I took a walk around myself, tempted to buy stuff for cars I do not even own.Walking around with our ‘tog Darren, there were some outstanding examples of restored and modified Fords. Such as this mint green Escort MKII on the famous four-spoke wheels.Performance Direct had a very clean MKII Escort on their stand, running a 193bhp 2.0L Pinto engine. The car was very clean and speaking with the owner, Lewis, another MKII is sitting in his unit slowly being restored, except this one isn’t a 1600 Sport, it’s an RS2000. Katie kindly accepted the photo opportunity with the car, as you can see.Due to the terrible weather overnight, the track was a bit damp to say the least, but the guys at Santa Pod worked all morning, flat out, to dry it in time for the afternoon. Once the tannoy announced that the track was open, the queues began.A car known amongst the Ford community, is this MKIII Escort, which looks completely stock on the outside (apart from the over sized drag wheels). Wenny, the car’s owner, was running great runs and always does. Unfortunately, something went wrong and the car veered right and went into the concrete barrier. Wenny walked away unharmed and we are sure he will build the car back to it’s former glory.The track was alive with action nonetheless with a variety of cars going up the strip. Classic Ford Magazine also had an unveiling which they host every year, showing off different project builds and allowing the owners to explain what’s been done. Imperial Blue is such an iconic colour for Ford, as shown by this trio of Escort Cosworths.Have a look at the rest of the show gallery below: "},{"@context":"https://schema.org/","@type":"BreadcrumbList
@type":"ListItem
{"@type":"ListItem
{"@type":"ListItem
