This weekend saw the 10th anniversary of The Classic Ford Show held at the famous Santa Pod Raceway and our friends at Performance Direct were there to soak up the action – and the sun that eventually broke through!
As special shows go, The Classic Ford Show didn’t hold back. In place were exceptional attractions including a 10th anniversary showcase and Dyno Dynamics and what is a birthday without some cake? A one-off cake was made to measure especially for the show with donations for a slice going towards Help for Heroes.
Family fun was on tap with bouncy castles, free child entry and plenty of things to keep the kids (and even the bigger kids) entertained!
For those who chose to enjoy the whole weekend, camping was available for as little as £7.00 if pre-booked but still only £10.00 on the door. Saturday morning, at 9am, the gates opened for the campers with the chance to RWYB (Run What Ya Brung) down the notorious Santa Pod strip. A few intrepid racers conquered the strip and crammed in all the practice they could before Sunday’s main action.
Saturday night welcomed plenty of entertainment in the shape of quizzes, comedians and a late night disco, which saw party goers stay on the dance floor until 2 am.
The main show took place on Sunday with hundreds of fantastic Ford’s on display including a Sierra Cosworth which took pride of place on the Performance Direct Insurance stand.
