Brooklands Museum host a range of fantastic events throughout the year and one of the biggest is happening this forthcoming weekend. On Saturday 5th May 2012 Brooklands Museum will host the Auto Italia sponsored ‘Italian Car Day’ which is described as the finest all-Italian car event in the UK.
You can win free tickets to this unmissable event. To be in with a chance of winning all you need to do is simply click here and “like” our Facebook post.
The winners will be picked at random at 12pm on Friday 4th May 2012.
It certainly is a very special event in the Italian car calendar, I mean how often do you see over 200 Ferrari’s in one place? Particularly when they’re also surrounded by just about every other Italian car marque that you can think of.
You might be a fan of Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lancia or Fiat, or perhaps you prefer Italian speed on two wheels like Ducati, Moto Guzzi, Aprilia or Bimoto do. Whatever you’re into, Auto Italia is the event for you. Track action will be taking place on the Mercedes-Benz World circuit and Test Hill which should provide some entertaining sights, both fast and slow.
In the paddock there will be a few rather special cars exhibiting such as the AC 378 Zagato prototype (yes, not Italian but very closely associated with Brooklands) and the only Maserati Bellagio in the UK.
Performance Direct will be showing the first modified Oakley Design Lamborghini Aventador. Yes, Oakley Design consider the 217 mph, 0 – 62 in 2.9 seconds Aventador to be a little sluggish, so they’ve modified it to make it much faster. How fast it will go is yet to be seen but testing is due to start in the next couple of weeks. One thing’s for sure, it will certainly be a lot quicker than standard. You too can experience the awesome power of the Aventador at Auto Italia. Performance Direct and Oakley Design have teamed up to offer you the chance to experience the speed and excitement of the Oakley Design Lamborghini Aventador in a passenger ride around the Mercedes-Benz World track. All you need to do is turn up at the show and fill in an entry form. The winner will be picked at random at 12.00pm and the passenger ride will take place at 12.30pm.
