Ferrari, renowned for their beauty, their elegance and also their hefty price tags, even more so apparent the older they become (subject to a few models). This particular 1957 335 is estimated to hit $34 million at auction on February 5th.
The current leader for “The World’s Most Expensive Car” is currently with the 335’s older brother the 250 GTO which sold for an astonishing $38,115,000! Just to put this into perspective, that is like buying a total of 25 Bugatti Veyrons or 8 Lamborghini Venenos.
As afore mentioned, Ferrari is known for producing very beautiful looking cars and the 355 is no exception. The curvy bodylines give it that very distinguished 50’s racer look and to compliment the look, underneath lies a 4.1 Litre V12 engine – sounds phenomenal!
This exact car was involved in a few races in it’s lifetime with the Sebring 12 hours and the Mille Miglia where driver Wolfgang Von Trips achieved 2nd Place. After this the engine was given a re-bore from 3.8L to 4.1L and the car began racing once more. The competition and long history that runs with this car is the reason for the demanding premium, but when buying this car you will be buying a piece of history.
