Prime minister David Cameron’s previously-owned 1971 Fiat 500 L is to go under the hammer at an upcoming classic car auction.
Organised by Silverstone Auctions, the vehicle is to be sold at the Classic Motor Show at the NEC that is being held from November 17th.
Nick Whale, managing director at Silverstone Auctions, said: “No matter what your political persuasion, this is one cool car and we are delighted to be able to offer it for auction at our sale in November.”
The vehicle is expected to sell for between £8,000 and £12,000, with one lucky buyer purchasing a piece of social history.
Last month witnessed the annual Uniques Special Ones Concours take place in Italy, with the event a showcase for vehicles of outstanding rarity and those once owned by celebrities and other notable individuals.
It saw JD Classics receive a number of awards for its restoration efforts, including the Overall Best Restoration accolade for its ex-Clark Gable XK 120 Alloy Roadster.
