It may only be January but we are already looking forward to the world’s biggest classic motor racing festival. This year’s Silverstone Classic will take place over three days from July 29th to July 31st and plans to celebrate the track’s 50th anniversary means it is set to be an amazing event.

In 2015, 120 car clubs took part and more than 10,000 classic cars were featured at the Silverstone Classic. As well as plenty of motor-related fun, there is also live music provided by top bands – last year saw Status Quo take to the stage.

One of the highlights of this year is expected to be the special battle between two 1970s Can-Am sports vehicles, alongside a number of other top classic racing cars.

“What a spectacle this will be – the earth will truly move!” said John Grant who is lucky enough to be competing in a McLaren at the Classic.
