A collection of classic cars belonging to motor enthusiast Stephen Johns will be sold at auction next month.
Mr Johns' 23 cherished vehicles – including a 1927 Bugatti Type 40 Tourer and a 1972 Ferrari 246GTS 'Dino' Spider – currently make up the exhibits of the Exmoor Classic Car Museum, which can be seen in the Somerset village of Porlock.
The businessman built up the collection while running a pyjama firm in Keighley, Yorkshire, for 45 years. He has decided to close the museum and auction off the cars as he prepares to retire for the second time.
All the vehicles will go under the hammer as part of the Bonhams Beaulieu Sale in Hampshire on Saturday September 8th.
Tim Schofield of Bonhams described the collection as "every motoring enthusiast's dream" and praised Mr Johns for allowing people to get close to the cars.
He added: "Today everything is locked away behind glass cabinets, but in this museum the public could touch the cars, open their doors and look inside, and flick through the old photo albums."
