"With grids of more than 50 competition-prepared E-types, the two Jaguar races were among last summer's highlights – that's why we are so delighted to welcome back the Jaguar E-type Challenge to the Silverstone Classic in July," commented event organiser Nick Wigley.
He added that there will be two rounds of the event this year on both Saturday and Sunday, enabling more people to enjoy the spectacle of these classic racing vehicles in full flow.
Manufactured between 1961 and 1975, the E-type has an iconic look and has on numerous occasions topped the polls in terms of the most beautiful vehicles ever created.
The Series III – which was produced between 1971 and 1975 – is the most powerful E-type, featuring a 5.2-litre V-12 Jaguar engine and was available in two-door coupe and convertible versions for buyers.
