The Race Retro & Classic Car Sale is set to take place on February 23rd, with the event to witness the auctioning of a classic 1969 Lola T70 MkIII B.
Set to be a highlight of the event, the model will go under the hammer and has an estimated sale tag of between £570,000 and £650,000.
Nick Whale, managing director, Silverstone Auctions, said the Lola T70 MkIII B has a fascinating past, having taken part in a number of high-profile races at both Monza and Spa.
First launched in 1965, the vehicle is a British classic and has a thoroughbred racing pedigree. It won the Monterey Grand Prix at Laguna Seca in October 1965 in the hands of Walt Hansgen and also five of six races in the 1966 Can-Am while driven by John Surtees.
Other highlights of the upcoming auction will also include a 1953 Connaught AL10 with a tag of between £200,000 and £250,000 and a restored Cooper Bristol that its owner hopes to sell for between £140,000 and £160,000.
Mr Whale added: "The auction presents a fantastic chance for classic car owners, or those with competition cars and more modern supercars, plus good quality automobilia, to benefit from the expertise offered by the dedicated team at Silverstone Auctions."
Last month, Historics celebrated one of its best performances of 2012 at its last auction of the year, achieving sales totalling more than £1 million.
A number of highly sought after vehicles went under the hammer at the event, including a 1989 911 Speedster that sold for £59,600 and a 1960 356B T5 Super Cabriolet, which achieved £45,920.
Historics' auction director Edward Bridger-Stille stated at the time that the last 12 months have been a particularly successful time for the auction house, with his highlight of the year being the sale of a vintage 1929 Blower Bentley for £4.8 million.
