Classic & Sports Car Magazine is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and in honour of its longevity the publication is reminiscing about great sports cars from 1982 – the year the magazine was launched.
The magazine has highlighted a number of classic cars that cost as much as £60,000 when new, but that can now be bought for as little as £1,500 by classic car enthusiasts.
It named the Ferrari 308 GTSi as a classic that will not break the bank today, while the BMW M535i and Jaguar XJ-S also made the shortlist for great bargains that buyers can pick up in 2012.
"Buying a classic car is a great way to get behind the wheel of an exotic and high performance car, but without the very high prices of a 2012 showroom," commented James Elliott, Classic & Sports Car group editor.
Furthermore, this year is also the 25th anniversary of the release of the Ferrari F40, with the luxury sports car manufacturing taking part in a celebration of the model at the upcoming Silverstone Classic event.
