Some fantastic supercars are set to be on display at the upcoming Performance Car Show. From January 8th to 11th at Birmingham NEC, visitors will be able to look at a range of the newest road-going supercars, some classic icons and World Championship winners.

Cars from a range of brands are set to be present at the event, from Ferrari to Lamborghini to Mercedes.

The Performance Car Show is held alongside Europe’s largest dedicated motorsport show, Autosport International, and was visited by 82,000 people during 2014.

Among the cars of show are the LaFerrari, of which only 499 were in production. This car comes with technology derived from Formula One, has 950 bhp and is powered by a V12 engine with a Kinetic Energy Recovery System.

Another car from the marque is the Ferrari 458 Speciale, which features active aerodynamics and the brand’s most powerful, naturally aspirated V8 engine.

There will also be the first production car to break the 200 mph barrier, the Ferrari F40, which was built to celebrate the brand’s 40th anniversary.

 

From Lamborghini, visitors will be treated to the Huracan, which is 602 bhp and can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3.2 seconds. For this reason, Lamborghini describes it as the new benchmark for luxury sports cars.

There will be a couple of Mercedes cars too, such as the F1 vehicle driven by Lewis Hamilton, which he was behind the wheel of when he won the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. During 2014, the Silver Arrows won 16 out of 19 races. They will lead a showcase on the F1 Racing Grid.

Also from Mercedes will be the C11, considered one of the best from Group C, which saw its heydey during the 80s and early 90s. This 950 bhp car was driven by such racers as Michael Schumacher and won eight out of nine races in the 1990 World Sportscar Championship.

Other cars coming to the event include the McLaren 650S, which brings the brand’s Formula One knowledge to the road. It can cover 0 to 60 mph in less than three seconds and can reach a top speed of 207 mph.

There is also some rally history on show with the Subaru Impreza, the type of car in which Colin McRae became the first World Rally Champion for Britain in 1995.

Tickets can be booked via the Performance Car Show website. They cost for £32 for adults, £21 for children and kids under five go free. However, visitors should be aware that January 8th and 9th are dedicated trade-only days.

Visitors can get passes to the paddock for £42, which include general admission and access to the Driver Signing Area where they can collect the autographs of famous drivers and racers.

There are also VIP passes from £120, which includes the benefits of the paddock pass as well as access to the VIP enclosure at the top of the Live Action Arena grandstand and comes complete with complimentary champagne and canapes.
