Of course, you can’t talk about the Honda Civic without mentioning the mighty Type-R performance model. With the option to strip it back to the bare bones and save as much weight as possible, this three-hour hatchback was built for speed and many feel it is the best Honda Civic of them all.

Star of numerous Fast & Furious movies, this sought after sports coupe offers incredible performance and precise handling. Perfect as a day-to-day run around back in the 90’s, these turbocharged cars were also ideal for tuning, taking the lead in most touring car championships for 8 years in Japan and Australia.

The R32 soon earned the name ‘Godzilla’ for being a Japanese monster on the track and it was perfectly weighted with the added bonus of being the first car to feature the RB26 twin turbo engine by Nissan.

A legend in the rallying world, the ‘EVO’ is powerful, sleek and this compact super-sedan has been with us since 1992, getting better and better every year until 2015 when its run sadly came to an end.

Mitsubishi did a complete redesign in 1998 and the EVO 6 of 1999 is considered the last ‘classic’ they produced. By 2001, the VII RS was packed full of amazing features and broke many records of previous models. The aggressive styling and cutting edge technology make this an incredibly popular choice among JDM fans.
