In anticipation of this year’s Performance Car Show (January 14th -15th) we are taking a closer look at our top three performance cars that we know you want to get behind the wheel of and take for a spin.
Ford Focus RS
First up is the Ford Focus RS, a speedy hatchback that accelerates at an unbelievable rate, jumping from 0-62mph in just 4.7 seconds.
This all-wheel drive hot hatch feels even bigger than it is and the Focus RS will roar for you on command when you put your foot down. It is also sure to turn heads with its incredibly beautiful exterior styling – you certainly can’t fail to notice the giant wing to the rear!
Subaru WRX STi
This Subaru will keep you glued to the road no matter how hard you throw it around and the stiff body/chassis allows for lightning quick reaction times.
It carries with it memories of its WRC family history and even though times have changed there are plenty of nods to the Impreza here. This car will whip you around corners but be prepared for a jolting ride even on the flats.
Nissan GT-R
Although it looks bulky, this is a performance car that handles impeccably and actually offers a comfortable interior considering just how quick it can pull away. Brace yourself, this beast does 0-60 in 2.8 seconds and will most definitely stun you into a happy, grinning silence as you savour the joy the GT-R brings.
Nissan have kept the improvements up over the years since 2007 when it was first released and the GT-R is considered a legend by many car enthusiasts, including us!
Looking through all the performance cars out there was pretty enjoyable as you can imagine, and picking just three was quite a task. There are some equally impressive models that just missed out on the top spot but these offerings from Ford, Subaru and Nissan highlight all that is great about the performance car sector.
