We are happy to announce that our friends over at Grove & Dean Motorsport Insurance have secured a sponsorship deal with Team BRIT.
Team BRIT stands for British Racing Injured Troops and is a branch of KartForce, it allows the drivers to move up from the Kart Racing world into fully fledged endurance racing. They aim at giving drivers who want to advance further in the world of motorsport the chance to do so, no matter what their injury is.
The aim is for the injured drivers to compete on the same playing field as able-bodied drivers. The BRIT Team have set their sights on the Le Mans 24hr Endurance, no easy feat.
“We want to make this a very British project – British racing car, British engineering, British injured troops fuelled by British determination and spirit.”
They are using Team BRIT to inspire members of the disabled community by showing them what can be achieved, even in the toughest times. The competitive nature of the sport helps to build up confidence, improve on team working skills and it also enhances recovery and rehabilitation through different environments.
Grove & Dean Motorsport Insurance are delighted to be a part of such a great project and are looking forwards to watching the Team BRIT develop and progress.
Ex F1 driver, Johnny Herbert, is amazed at what Team BRIT has achieved and joins the team as their official patron.
Good Luck Team BRIT!
