It could be a Ford Fiesta ST, a Focus, an iconic Capri or a Model Y from before the war.What’s more, this year is the 50th anniversary of the Ford Transit so this is likely to be a fairly important part of Simply Ford’s festivities.Events co-ordinator Andy Ollerenshaw said of Simply Ford: “This year\u2019s Simply Ford rally is shaping up to be the biggest and best yet, with more Ford owners\u2019 clubs signed up to take part than ever before. We are proud to celebrate the anniversary of the Transit, while show regulars Ford Heritage will be bringing along eight examples of this legendary vehicle, from the first Transit ever built to the V8-powered \u2018Supervan.\u2019”Some of the Ford owners’ clubs that will be coming to the event include the Focus RS Owners’ Club, the Zetec S Owners’ Club and the Mondeo Mk2 Owners’ Club. There will also be a display of some of the latest models from the brand, supplied by the Hendy Ford dealership.As well as perusing some examples of vehicles made by Ford, visitors will also get to browse a selection of trade stands where they will be able to purchase a variety of parts and accessories related to Ford.Both visitors and people taking part in the rally will be able to pick their favourite car at the event.
