Peugeot has unveiled its latest racing car for the Sony PlayStation game Gran Turismo 6.The Peugeot Vision Gran Turismo has been designed by the company’s sport engineers and promises gamers a fun ride.
Many parts of the car have been inspired by the Onyx concept, with appealing rear arches and sleek LED headlights. It also features the familiar front grille, seen on many production Peugeots.
It boasts an impressive 1:1 power-to-weight ratio (875 kg and 875 bhp), with the capability to go from 0 to 62 mph in 1.73 seconds using its V6 turbo 3.2-litre engine.
There are six different colour choices to bring out the best profile of the car, which has 22-inch front and 23-inch rear wheels.
The Peugeot Vision Gran Turismo will be included in a free update for the computer game and virtual drivers will be able to try it out on 40 different tracks.
A number of other key carmakers have produced similar virtual models for the Gran Turismo title, including Volkswagen’s GTI Supersport, the Alpine Vision Gran Turismo and a laser beam-powered Chevrolet Chaparral 2X.
