Citroen has revealed a new range of its popular DS3 model, with the limited edition model sure to capture the eye of a number of motorists and passers by.
Exclusive to the UK, the car features a rather unique splash of colour that will bring a touch of brightness to even the most dreary of days.
Available in two trim levels, the DS3 DStyle and the DSport, the latest cars off the production line are smothered in pink features.
The manufacturer says the new colour palette gives the already successful supermini a fun, fresh and fuchsia take on the award winning model.
Perhaps the most notable location for the colourful addition is the roof, which is completely covered in the fuchsia flare. The DS3’s come in either white or black body colourings but each are presented with similar pink patterns.
The theme is also extended to the door mirrors and wheel centre caps, which offset the body tone in a truly unique way.
However, it’s not just the exterior that is given the pink treatment. The fuchsia is also present on the inside, linking the dashboard and adding to the colour-coded gear lever knob.
It’s not just the flamboyant shade that makes this version of th DS3 so desirable, it’s the new features that also come with it.
It is the new sound system that is sure to entice potential buyers, with the stereo set to match the loudness of the new colours.
The HiFi system takes on a whole new upgrade, while additional speakers are spread throughout the car. This feature is added to both the DStyle and DStyle Sport pink models.
While the DStyle comes with 16-inch ‘Ashera’ alloy wheels, coloured to match the body, the Sport version takes this upgrade a little further with an added inch on the span of its ‘Bellone’ alloys.
Furthermore, the sporty upgrade also comes with a ‘City Signature’ pack, providing the driver with automatic headlights and wipers, rear parking sensors, heated and electric folding door mirrors and a front central armrest.
If the cars aren’t unique enough for you, there is also the opportunity to pick the engine specification depending on your needs.
Four types are available, split across both models. The DStyle can come with the either a VTi 120 petrol engine, or a e-HDi 90 Airdream diesel alternative.
While the former delivers 49.6mpg with CO2 emissions of 132g/km, the latter is a more carbon friendly and economical version, providing 78.5mpg and emitting just 95g/km of CO2.
In the Sport model, similar options are present, but both deliver a more punchy and engaging ride – the least that could be expected from a model with the ‘Sport’ moniker.
Drivers can chose from the THP 155 petrol engine or the e-HDi 115 Airdream diesel variant. Of course, the diesel provides better economy with 74.4mpg and 99g/km of CO2. Otherwise, the petrol version gives 48.7 mpg and CO2 emissions stand at 135g/km.
Both of the engines available in the Sport version are twinned to 6-speed manual transmissions.
Remember, these models are only available in the UK, so make sure you get your hands on one to really stand out from the crowd.
