At the venue, he looked upon images of former motor racing heroes out on the track at the Goodwood circuit, and decided he needed a model that reflects the history and atmosphere of the iconic venue.\u201cThe experience of working with Rolls-Royce\u2019s world-class designers to create the beautifully executed Chicane Phantom Coup\u00e9 was exhilarating. The creativity, vision, skill and attention-to-detail employed in the crafting of these one-off motor cars is unsurpassed in the super-luxury world,\u201d Mr EL-Arishy said in a press release.In order to create this feeling of motorsport in a classic prestige vehicle, the traditional wood interior was removed in favour of a carbon fibre finish – mimicking the quality material that is featured on modern racing car designs.The design brings a more contemporary element to a vehicle that usually demonstrates old-school class. This general modern feel carries on to the outside, as the bonnet and windscreen comes in matt black and complements the Gunmetal exterior colouring.It also features a first for any Rolls-Royce vehicle, with the model coming with matching wheel paint.Elsewhere, the car meets true motor racing themes with a chequered flag motif being sported throughout. It is stitched to the seats and on the outside in the form of a Bespoke coachline. The glove compartment plays host to a small metal plaque that emblazons the vehicle name and includes the famous Goodwood track layout.It isn’t the first time that Rolls-Royce has had to deliver a vehicle based on a simple flash of inspiration. For example, colours have been based on a favourite eye shadow colour, while a wood-veneer for one interior has been exclusively sourced from the owner’s own estate.Gavin Hartley, bespoke design manager, said: \u201cCustomers often task us with designing cars themed around a particularly passion or interest. The customer leads the creative process, working in collaboration with us to create a highly personal, one-off masterpiece. As Bespoke designers we take great satisfaction in turning these dreams into reality.\u201dThe vehicle really is enough to make anyone jealous. On the Goodwood circuit, the car looks a little out of place – but does it matter?It is the height of luxury, but comes with a modern twist.
