The Citroen DS3 has undergone an interesting new makeover, with the latest design coming courtesy of the salon rather than the garage.
Benefit Cosmetics has teamed up with the brand to deliver the special edition versions of the DS3, with each inspired by the fun and iconic products the firm has to offer.
They hit the UK market on March 12th and are set to make quite a statement when on the country’s roads.
Delivering levels of style and glamour that are synonymous with Benefit, the two trim levels are known as DSign and DStyle by Benefit and are priced from £14,795. A third version of the Benefit range is expected to hit the showrooms later in the summer.
Citroen and Benefit have worked with the UK’s largest independent online fashion and beauty retailer ASOS to deliver the first online car boutique.
This allows potential customers to access a dedicated section of the website where they can take a closer look at the DS3 models. Users can take a virtual tour inside and discover the design inspiration behind the cars’ image.
Furthermore, they can look at the fashion and accessories that are closely associated with the cars and book a test drive.
The DS3 DSign by Benefit takes its cues from the world renowned Benetint, the signature red lip and cheek stain the brand offers.
It is powered by an efficient VTi 82 engine and is twinned with a manual gearbox. It has a number of similarities with the standard DSign spec but with a couple of additional features.
This includes a ruby red metallic body paint, set-off against a white roof and door mirrors and dark tinted rear windows. They also come with chrome detailing (for a bit of bling) and 17-inch white alloy wheels for a touch of added class.
It is a theme that continues throughout the model, with a white dashboard, air vent surrounds and gear stick cap, while red piping and red Benefit logo bring back the ruby red motif.
In terms of technical specification, the model is equipped with day-time LED lights, air conditioning, a Connecting Box with Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
Up next is the DStyle by Benefit, inspired by the brand’s UK best-selling mascara known as ‘They’re Real!’.
This particular version is powered by a VTi 120 manual engine, offering a sporty drive in a stylish body.
It comes with a bold Benefit Orange roof, door mirrors and wheel caps, contrasted by the metallic grey body paint and 17-inch black alloy wheels.
Inside is what Citroen describes as a “seductive” gloss black dashboard, with this colour also adorning the air vent surrounds and gear stick cap.
Customers can select the City Signature pack with this car, which offers automatic digital air conditioning, automatically illuminating headlamps, automatic rain sensitive wipers, rear parking sensors, electrically heated and folding door mirrors, an electrochrome rear view mirror, interior mood lighting and a front central armrest.
These features are perfect for when you want to take the car out to the big city for a shopping spree.
Managing directors of Benefit Cosmetics, Ian Marshall & Gail Bojarski, said the model has been delivered in response to the huge positive reaction to the concept model released late last year.
“Now girls can buy their favourite Benefit products, shop the trends and book a test drive in the hottest car on the road, all in one click,” they enthused.
