At the London Classic Car Show, they may get the opportunity to do just that.A host of classic cars by Jaguar, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Pagini and plenty of other top marques will be on display at ExCeL in Docklands between January 8th and 11th 2015.It isn’t just about buying cars though, there will be a chance for celebrity spotting too. Top Gear presenter James May, who is also a curator of the London Classic Car Show, will be talking about what he thinks is the most significant car of all time. TV chef James Martin is also a curator of the show and will be displaying his own private collection of classic cars as well as running the James Martin Classic Cafe.In terms of the vehicles on show, there are a number of very special ones lined up. For example, restoration company CMC will be displaying the latest car to come from Jaguar designer Ian Callum – a modernised version of the 1960s Jaguar Mk II Saloon.Mr Callum made the car so that he could use it himself, while he trusted CMC to take care of the engineering side. It was originally meant to be a one off but, because of the amount of interest that the Callum Mk II has gained, CMC is making a limited run of replicas and will be taking orders at the show.Another car that will be showcased by CMC is a lightweight racing Jaguar E-type that took 7,000 hours to recreate.The Eagle E-types stand will also be showing off nine Jaguars. These include two cars that have specially been created by Eagle: the Low Drag GT and the Speedster. Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson once called the latter his favourite car of all time.There will be Ferraris aplenty at the show too. Hexagon Classics will be displaying a one-off Ferrari Daytona Shooting Brake, if it is not sold off before the show, and a Ferrari Dino. It will also have an Aston Martin DB6 Mk II Volante on show.Dealer Joe Macari will have plenty of Ferraris of its own on its stand as well as a Pagini Huayra, which is very rare.One of the main features of the show includes turning Grand Avenue into a motoring catwalk, where 40 classics will be driven. There will be four cars to represent each decade of the 20th century. Among these is an original Ferrari 365\/4 GTB Daytona ‘Plexiglass’.Event director Bas Bungish said: “Enthusiasts visiting the show will find it the perfect place to discover his or her next – or first – classic.
