As the forecast for this summer continues to look lush, it is the perfect time to consider two of the most popular events of the year.
Created by BBC broadcaster and future Top Gear presenter, Chris Evans, Carfest North and Carfest South will bring together some of the key cars currently on the UK motor scene.
Carfest North will take place at Oulton Park in Cheshire from July 31st to August 2nd, while CarFest South is at the Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire from 28th August to 30th August.
As well as being a great day out for petrolheads, the events also play a big part in raising money for Children in Need, with at least 25 per cent of ticket sales donated to the BBC charity.
One of the highlights of the 2015 shows is expected to be the Dirty Dozen of cars – featuring a number of cars owned by Chris Evans himself. The line-up is expected to include a number of iconic Mercs, Astons and Ferraris.
There will be plenty of F1 cars on display from Lotus, Benetton and McLaren. Rally fans will also be able to get a closer look at Colin McRae’s Subaru Impreza.
“CarFest is now entering its fourth season and every year the track show just gets better and better,” explained Bas Bungish, event director at Brand Events.
He added: “Thanks to the huge generosity of some famous car collectors and the enthusiasm of car loving public, we continue to bring together a truly wonderful collection of eye-catching machines ranging from the bizarrely whacky to priceless icons. The glorious gathering never ceases to amaze.”
As well as the cars, there is also plenty of live music from artists such as the Boomtown Rats, Texas and Paloma Faith across the two shows.
The only downside is that many of the full weekend tickets have already sold out, but if the weather remains glorious it is certainly worth picking up one of the day tickets.
