For those tall enough (the standard G-Class stands at more than six foot tall), there is carbon fibre on the roof too.Prominent LED headlights polish off an imposing front end while at the back, panels have have been re-imagined to accommodate new lighting units.The SUV also includes what Mansory calls \u2018the stairway to heaven\u2019 – an electronic step that automatically extends to help occupants into the cabin. Are we talking still talking a car or Air Force One?Once inside, the G500 4×4\u00b2 has quilted leather seats and extra stitching with carbon fibre popping up once again on the dashboard, door trims, steering wheel and handbrake.It isn\u2019t all show and no go though. Performance is given a significant boost with a \u2018powerbox\u2019 ramping power output up by 62bhp to 478bhp, as well as increasing torque by 100Nm to 710Nm.Big numbers yes, but the G500 4×4\u00b2 is unlikely to be any quicker than the G 63 Edition from Merc\u2019s own AMG performance division, which has 563bhp and can barrel up to 62mph in 5.4 seconds.
