The latter, as is the case with several of the Avenger\u2019s design features, offers value beyond just fitting the visual design language; according to Jeep, the arch shape has been designed to optimise wheel travel for maximum articulation. The wheel arches are home to a set of diamond-cut-finished 18-inch wheels.Jeep\u2019s new SUV doesn\u2019t just look rugged enough to take on the roughest of roads \u2013 it is. The Avenger is equipped with polymer mould-in-colour skid plates and is shielded from all angles with 360-degree cladding. The headlamps have also been encased and raised, ensuring they are better protected in the case of any low-speed impact.The Avenger boasts a 400-volt powertrain capable of supplying 115kW and 260Nm maximum torque. The 54kWh battery can provide drivers with 400km of WLTP range, and 550km of range in cities and urban environments.As we explore the Avenger\u2019s interior, we quickly see that the exterior themes of both style and function continue throughout. The horizontal beam spread across the dashboard immediately sets the scene, commanding the cockpit with a centrally located touchscreen and tone-setting ambient lighting. Multiple air vents are integrated into the beam and below it is a storage shelf spanning the width of the dashboard, ideal for emptying your pockets. Riders will also welcome the premium seats, which are due to be electronically adjustable and will feature a massage function.Jeep has made a great effort to ensure that the Avenger\u2019s smaller size doesn\u2019t hinder the potential for space and storage. Owners will have 34 litres of front storage space, a considerable improvement upon the 15-litre average seen across vehicles in this segment.
