The lower bumper has also been decluttered for a sleeker look, and the rear will receive new tail light graphics and a resculpted valance panel.Inside, the Q7 features Audi’s ‘Virtual Cockpit’ and a central touchscreen for infotainment purposes. While updates to the infotainment software and the ‘myAudi’ smartphone app may be added, the current setup is likely to remain largely unchanged.In terms of powertrains, the Q7 is not expected to receive any new engines, as Audi’s focus is on its all-electric e-tron range. Currently, the standard Q7 features two diesel engines and one petrol engine, all with 3.0-litre V6 units and 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance. The plug-in hybrid Q7 e-tron may make a return with a new battery, potentially featuring the same 17.9kWh battery used in other plug-in hybrid Audis.With all new Audis set to be electric from 2026, it is likely that this will be the final combustion-engined Q7. The name may even transition to ‘Q7 e-tron’ for the next generation, serving as a pure-electric rival to the Mercedes EQS and Volvo EX90.
