Some like old beat-up JDM cars that have been stanced into the ground, others like premium German cars that are more overpriced than a property in London. There are some things that most enthusiasts can agree on, though, and that’s about how bad these cars are.Now, it’s not that these cars are objectively bad but rather that they go against most things that a car enthusiast would stand for. Good performance, pedigree, well-engineered and approved by other enthusiasts. Let’s explore…Mercedes-Benz GLAFor instance, a GLA is not necessarily a bad car. It’s a good entry-level luxury car that offers good comfort, a range of convenient features and a higher ride height than the A-Class. That being said, it goes without saying that most car enthusiasts would turn their nose up at it.Most offensively, it’s a crossover SUV, meaning it is mimicking what used to be a class of car that was only for 4x4s and yet it is front-wheel drive and probably handles worse in torrential conditions than a standard saloon. It also looks like an A-Class on stilts, which many enthusiasts would think just pointlessly raises its centre of gravity, making it handle worse and be more of a danger to others.BMW 2 Series Gran CoupeThis car takes the 2 Series name that BMW has built a lot of good faith on and wipes the floor with it. A name that is usually associated with an RWD compact coupe sports car that handles quite well is now also being expanded into encompassing a 4-door, FWD saloon that looks like a 1 Series hatchback that’s been bent out of shape into a saloon.The styling has also lost its edge. BMW, known for making designs that signify sportiness and ultimate performance, decided to create the 2 Series Gran Coupe with a much softer, rounder and pedestrian-looking design.Lamborghini UrusThe Urus, like most SUVs, is a cash grab. It’s a well-known fact at this point that SUVs sell like hot cakes and if any automaker is to make it in the 21st century then they need to sell SUVs. Lamborghini, despite being one of the most popular supercar manufacturers in the world, still needed a boost in sales and so the Urus was born.It is essentially a repackaged and rebadged Audi RS Q8 and that is not an exaggeration. Lift the car up and underneath you’ll see innumerable parts with the Audi badge on them. Same applies for under the bonnet too. So, the only reason to buy an Urus over an RS Q8 is for the poncy badge and that naturally goes against what many enthusiasts believe in.Mercedes-Benz G-ClassIt is unfortunate that yet another Mercedes makes the list, this time it’s the iconic G Wagon. The question is, though, what is it iconic for? The answer would be Beverly Hills celebs driving their Chihuahuas around in what was once created to be an off road vehicle.Nowadays, matt black G Wagons with 22-inch wheels parade the streets of cities as a status symbol and will likely never see a dirt track for as long as they exist.Let us know which cars you think enthusiasts wouldn’t want to be seen dead in, in the comments!If you enjoyed this, you may also like: ‘Are Modern Cars Getting Over Styled?’"},{"@context":"https://schema.org/","@type":"BreadcrumbList
@type":"ListItem
{"@type":"ListItem
