Car fans have been busy examining the latest James Bond movie trailer to discover more about the spy’s new ride.

The new film, called Spectre, will see Bond return to the screen driving a new Aston Martin DB10.

Of course, there is a bit of artistic licence, as Bond’s vehicle appears to be fitted with a flamethrower and is capable of 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds.

The design of the new DB10 was overseen by Aston Martin chief creative officer, Marek Reichman, and the director of Spectre, Sam Mendes, was also allowed to have some input in to the direction of the new car.

At the launch of the new Bond car, Dr Andy Palmer, chief executive officer of Aston Martin, said: “In the same year that we celebrate our 50-year relationship with 007, it seems doubly fitting that today we unveiled this wonderful new sports car created especially for James Bond.

“To be partnering once again with EON Productions is great news for this company and for everyone around the world that loves to see Bond at the wheel of an Aston Martin.”

It is believed Aston Martin has built a total of eight models for the movie, with seven of them expected to be destroyed in spectacular stunts.

As always there will be a number of other cars featured in the new Bond hit, with main villain Christoph Waltz behind the wheel of a Jaguar C-X75 and rumours suggesting a Fiat 500 will take part in an epic chase scene.
