What many visitors will be interested in, of course, is the chance to give some supercars a whirl with the DriveMe feature at Motorexpo. visitors will get the chance to drive any of the vehicles around the Canary Wharf Estate where they see the DriveMe sign next to them.
For the motorsports fans, two Formula One cars will be available to view from the Lotus and Red Bull Racing teams.
Car and motorbike enthusiasts that are interested in some of the forward-thinking and sustainable vehicle technologies that have been thought up will be able to look at some of what is in store. This includes the Model S car from Tesla, designed to deliver optimum performance but with zero emissions. There is also the electric motorbike with a retro edge, the B4 Bike as well as the urban sports motorcycle the Saietta R from Agility Global.
For the office worker, there is also a brand new innovation in merging travel and work that will be on display at the event. The Luxury Mobile Office Company is providing offices that can be transported easily and are based on Mercedes Vianos. These come with Wi-Fi and a boardroom table, which is essential to the modern day office.
Chief executive officer of Motorexpo Graeme Carver said: “London Motorexpo is always a pleasure to organise and not only is it a magnificent spectacle but it’s also an impressive display of car design in a relaxed and free environment.
“It is one of the highlights of the annual Canary Wharf events calendar and one of the most commercially viable as workers and visitors stream out of the offices to marvel at the displays while manufacturers from all over the world get to talk face-to-face and ultimately sell to potential buyers.”
