That’s much quicker than the 367bhp AMG GLC 43, which can hit 62mph in 4.9 seconds.Both models are linked to a nine-speed AMG Speedshift MCT sports transmission and have a top speed limited to 155mph. A coupe version will also be available.Tobias Moers, CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, said the GLC63 AMG is “an SUV that can be driven with high precision and agility and is equally at home on a high-speed lap of the race track”.Toyota YarisIt isn’t uncommon for manufacturers to sell different cars under the same name in different markets. We’ve seen it with the Mondeo and Civic where European buyers get a very different car to that of American motorists, and it happens with the Yaris too.A facelifted version of the current generation European Yaris was revealed in Geneva last month and New York will be the place we find out what shape it’ll take in the States.Toyota has promised a sportier and more dynamic look than that of its European counterpart.Honda ClarityHonda will reveal the Clarity saloon in the form of a plug-in hybrid and pure electric car, as it pursues its target of having electrified vehicles make up two-thirds of its global sales by 2030.It is already available as a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle in the UK, but Honda reckon the all-electric Clarity will be the first affordable, midsize, five-passenger electric vehicle.The plug-in hybrid Clarity is expected to make up the bulk of the nameplate’s sales in the US, with an electric driving range in excess of 40 miles.Range Rover VelarSure, we all got the low-down on the new Velar a month ago in Geneva, but the car that will plug the gap between the Evoque and Range Rover Sport will be making its American debut at the New York Auto Show.It’s already available to order in the US but that won’t stop us from seizing the opportunity to show you another picture of the stunning Velar…Volvo XC60Another car we saw at Geneva is the XC60 – a car that makes up around 30 per cent of the brand’s global sales. Like the Velar, it will also be making its US debut in NYC.Jaguar F-TypeOver four years after its reveal at the Paris Motor Show, there are rumours we’ll see a new F-Type in New York. An all-new generation is very unlikely, but at the very least, there should be a new four-cylinder Ingenium engine announced for the sports car."},{"@context":"https://schema.org/","@type":"BreadcrumbList
@type":"ListItem
{"@type":"ListItem
New York International Auto Show 2017 preview
https://smart-motoring.com/event-coverage/new-york-international-auto-show-2017-preview/#breadcrumbitem"}]}]
