The 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show is in full swing in Germany and exhibitors from across the globe have taken the opportunity of this world-renowned event to bring to light some of the best new cars and concepts of the year.
Here are just some of the standout new releases that are gracing the stages of Frankfurt this year – prepare to be dazzled:
Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo Concept
Delivering an impressive 871 horsepower and with looks straight out of a comic book, the Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo Concept has certainly made an entrance at this year’s show.
With an all-fuel cell powertrain it is not only one of the best looking and exciting vehicles on display in Frankfurt, the car can also boast it is one of the greenest and friendliest towards the environment.
In addition, the N 2025 Vision features a full carbon monocoque chassis, ensuring it is as light as a feather and nimble to boot.
Lamborghini Huracan Spider
When Lamborghini release a new model they often do it in style – how else could this flamboyant marque be expected to act? – and that is certainly what they have done with the new Huracan Spider.
It seems Lamborghini have triumphed yet again, with the model a delight for the senses. It is also certain to set pulses racing with its naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 that delivers enough grunt for up to 610 horsepower.
Fully convertible, the new Huracan Spider takes its styling cues from the gorgeous Aventador and is definitely not one for the shrinking violets out there.
Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo Concept
Arguably the star of the show in terms of its looks, Bugatti’s new Vision Gran Turismo Concept is reminiscent of the Veyron with its flowing lines and imposing style, but this is unfortunately one vehicle that is just for the armchair petrol heads.
The new Vision Gran Turismo is a design study and is unlikely to see its way into production anytime soon. Instead, the model is to be used in the new incarnation of video game Gran Turismo – so even if this car won’t make it to the race track in the real world, gamers across the globe can still enjoy its beauty and undoubted impressive performance.
Porsche Mission E
An all-electric sedan might not spring to mind as one of the most impressive or exciting of new releases to come out of Frankfurt this year, but when that vehicle is being manufactured by Porsche all that can quickly change.
The new Mission E aims to rival the Tesla as the best performance electric car on the planet, and boasts acceleration of zero to 62 mph in just 3.5 seconds, as well as a range of over 300 miles.
What’s more, the Mission E features an impressive new battery system that means it is able to charge from zero to 80 per cent in just 15 minutes – a considerable reduction in charging time that could make all the difference to future customers.
Honda Project 2&4 Concept
One for all the racers out there, the Honda Project 2&4 Concept is a stripped-back performance vehicle reminiscent more of a high-end go-kart than a car drivers would want to take out on the busy roads.
With a fully-exposed driver’s seat, open wheel arches and not even a windshield, this beast of a vehicle has a 14,000-rpm redline and weighs about the same as a toothpick (perhaps an exaggeration), meaning it can certainly go some.
The cruel nature of the Project 2&4 Concept though lies in the fact it is unlikely to ever come into production; but if it ever did, racers around the world would be vying to get their hands on one.
