2013’s show was the 10th Anniversary for CFS and it was one to remember! So how could they possibly top last year’s successful turn out?
Santa Pod yet again delivered by hosting the 11th CFS show and it was absolutely jam packed – with people queuing outside the gates ‘til gone 11am. The sunshine was out making it a more relaxed and chilled out show.
The Classic Ford stand had their “Great Unveil” with cars placed on individual podiums covered to keep their identities a secret.
The purpose of the “Great Unveil” is to show case some of the projects that go on during the previous years/months and have not been seen by anyone either in person or online.
One by one the cars were slowly introduced to the public, with the owners each having a question session by Bryn Musselwhite, who explored the details of the cars.
This beautiful MKII Escort Mexico had been restored with extraordinary attention to detail, returning it to its former glory.
The other cars on the “Great Unveil” also featured a MKI Escort, MKI Escort Bread-van, MKI Granada and a MKIII Cortina, all restored and modified to an exceptionally high standard! The time, effort and money put into each individual project was clear from the attention to detail each car displayed – will next year’s unveils pose the same high standards?

As ever, the Classic Ford Auto-Jumble was packed and there was something for every punter to try haggling a price. “One man’s junk is another man’s treasure” is such a truthful statement, especially in the Auto-Jumble.
The track was alive as always with head-to-head races which packed out both the stalls and the adjacent hill spaces with spectators. There were both UK Ford’s and American Fords, new and old, all giving an extraordinary performance.
