Skoda recently unveiled the Skoda Enyaq RS IV edition to their RS family.
The new Enyaq’s exterior design is naturally similar to that of the Enyaq Coupe, with the rounded rear of this latest release being the most notable visual differentiator between the models.
The front grille is shaped by a glossy black frame, which is also present on the window edges and the exterior mirrors. Black 20-inch Taurus wheels come fitted as standard, with the option to upgrade to Anthracite 21-inch Vision wheels also available.
The flagship Mamba Green finish certainly creates a lasting impression, and as an exclusive to RS models, reminds onlookers that they are laying their eyes on one of the Czech automaker’s performance-inspired releases.
For those that prefer the understated look, the new Enyaq is also available in a range of less extravagant colours.
The Enyaq RS iV’s 500km WLTP range limit is made possible by the combination of an 82kWh high-voltage battery (the largest in the range) and sport suspension which lowers the body at the front and rear axle, ultimately helping facilitate a drag coefficient of CW 0.265.
The battery also benefits from Skoda’s ‘Plug & Charge’ function, which works alongside the POWERPASS app to streamline the charging billing process.
Got a need for speed? The new Enyaq lives up to its RS label. It can reach 100km/h from 0km/h in just 6.5 seconds and boasts a top speed of 180km/h, which alongside the coupe, is 20km/h faster than any other Enyaq iV.
The inside is sporty and spacious, with several sleek design features and enough room for up to five passengers. As standard, owners will benefit from a decorative carbon-look trim on the dashboard and door panels, ambient LED lighting, and aluminium pedal covers.
The heated sports seats feature integrated headrests adorned with the RS logo and contrast stitching. They’ve also been complemented with lime-coloured piping, an addition which provides a subtle splash of colour. Enyaq owners are also blessed with 585 litres of boot space, which can be conveniently accessed using Skoda’s virtual pedal.
This latest Enyaq also boasts a 13-inch central infotainment system, the largest available in a Skoda production model. The display has extensive touch functionality and comes equipped with Skoda’s digital voice assistant, Laura.
The infotainment system’s right-hand man, a 5.3- inch Digital Cockpit capable of presenting driving data and navigation information in a selection of different layouts. Furthermore, drivers can use the multifunction steering wheel to control various vehicle functions, assistance systems, and the types of data displayed on the screens.
Skoda has not to date revealed any pricing information for the Enyaq RS iV.
The Enyaq RS bears a resemblance to Skoda’s Vision 7S concept featured on Smart Motoring in October 2022, what do you think?
